Fact-Checking Policy
Accuracy is an important part of the publishing process at Yuva India.
Before publishing information that could materially affect a reader’s understanding of a story, our editorial team aims to check it against credible sources.
Depending on the subject, these sources may include:
- official government websites
- regulatory authorities
- court documents
- company filings or official announcements
- recognised research organisations
- direct public statements
- established news agencies and publications
We do not treat every social-media post, forwarded message or viral claim as verified information.
When a social-media post itself is newsworthy, we try to clearly identify who made the statement and avoid presenting an unverified claim as an established fact.
Anonymous Sources
Anonymous sources may occasionally be used when the information is considered newsworthy and the source cannot reasonably speak publicly.
Where possible, such information should be independently corroborated.
Images and Videos
When authenticity is important to a story, available context such as the original uploader, publication date, location, source account and previous appearances of the material may be reviewed.
